If anyone knows how to solve it and explain it step by step, I would be thankfully. You have likely installed pandas in the first location, and when cron runs it does not have that location in the python path. You can fix this by setting the python path in your cron script use your correct python version :.

If you have multiple projects that rely on different versions of python or libraries, this is the preferred method of handling that.

Simply, a module is a file consisting of Python code. A module can define functions, classes and variables. A module can also include runnable code. The Python code for a module named aname normally resides in a file named aname.

Here's an example of a simple module, support. You can use any Python source file as a module by executing an import statement in some other Python source file. When the interpreter encounters an import statement, it imports the module if the module is present in the search path.

A search path is a list of directories that the interpreter searches before importing a module.

For example, to import the module support. A module is loaded only once, regardless of the number of times it is imported.

This prevents the module execution from happening over and over again if multiple imports occur. Python's from statement lets you import specific attributes from a module into the current namespace. The from This statement does not import the entire module fib into the current namespace; it just introduces the item fibonacci from the module fib into the global symbol table of the importing module. This provides an easy way to import all the items from a module into the current namespace; however, this statement should be used sparingly.

If all else fails, Python checks the default path. The module search path is stored in the system module sys as the sys.GitHub is home to over 40 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. If I run the script inside in the src folder directly in terminal then it works correctly. My first guess is that it's because such package does not exist in Python 2. I'll make a pull request at most that evening and add you as a reviewer.

So, I've tested your solutions but I've got another one. For some reasons my Python doesn't see my dependencies when it was run by using crontab or launchd on Mac. I executed this script through shell scripting I made the checking a date directly without any virtual environments. The Python was installed by using Homebrew.

GPIO are installed on the Pi. I also updated the Pi with the latest version with sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. GPIO or not. And then following if not installed.

These all worked for me, Just you need to verify pip freeze grep RPi. And one more thing sometimes some modules are not available for normal user only for root user. Make sure. First of all, repeat following process sudo apt-get install python-pip pip freeze grep RPi see what you get after this second command, If you get a valid module for RPi. I would not use pip to install to system packages, either install from system package manager with apt or use virtualenv if you want to use pip. For Python3 use sudo apt-get install python3-dev python3-rpi. If Python RPi module is missing, one can install pip with all dependencies and then install the module using pip or go with the better approach and install the module alone: sudo apt-get install python-rpi.

For Windows pip install python3-rpi. Greenonline 2, 4 4 gold badges 14 14 silver badges 31 31 bronze badges. Dhiren Biren Dhiren Biren 11 1 1 bronze badge.

My guess would be that your ipython binary is not pointing at the same python installation as python and pipor however you installed seaborn. On unix systems you can check where commands like python and ipython are pointing with which pythonwhich ipython.

They should be in the same binary directory. However, questions about setting up your environment are probably better directed to people who manage your Python distribution, i. Anaconda, EPD, Linux distribution, etc. Im having the same issue with Jupyter. And my python, ipython and seaborn are all coming from the same directory, check this out. Any further suggestions?

Sorry, I got the same error as the previous poster. Series np. DataFrame np. Based on what you posted in the previous comment, you do not have seaborn installed. Why do you think that you do? I had the same problem as mboyanna and chef, possibly with a different cause. Here are some things to try. The problem may be isolated to a particular conda environment so I would try to import seaborn in a Jupyter notebook started from a different environment.

This was the cause of my situation. I had to downgrade ipykernel from 4. Problem seems fixed. ImportError: No module named 'seaborn' I get the error above even after running conda install seaborn in jupyter terminal.

I'm locking this thread because there are no seaborn-specific issues here. Anyone who is having trouble matching python library installation and execution environment is likely to get faster help elsewhere, without me getting pinged with a notification about it.
